Sunset and Wolf Moonrise

Location:  MT. LEMMON

Sunset: 5:36 pm 

Moonrise: 5:44 pm

Overview: The sunset and full moonrise (Wolf Moon) are just minutes apart this Friday, which will allow you to capture breathtaking photos on Mt. Lemmon! 

Led by pro-photographer, Howard Paley.

Logistics: Meet at 4:00 pm – Java Buzz parking lot – Catalina Highway and Tanque Verde Road (look for my white Landcruiser with SWPS panel signs). We’ll head up the mountain together to reach our initial stop around 4:30 to shoot sunset through saguaros … then drive up the road to catch the moonrise. Total time commitment, approx. 4 hours. 

What to Bring: DSLR, telephoto lens preferable and tripod. Bring some food (trail-mix/granola), a water bottle or thermos (no alcohol, please), a jacket and gloves. 

Who: Perfect outing for intermediate+ photographers, who may just need a few pointers.

Limited Group Size: Limit 3 people. First come first serve.
